After losing her grandmother to cancer, Renkah joined the Association of French High School Students of the Ivory Coast. Its goals are to promote African culture and help children who suffer from AIDS and cancer. For 3 years she devoted her free time to making sure that these children were cared for. When she started her musical career, she made a promise to never forget children with cancer, especially as people in Africa tend to minimize the importance of the kids in the world. Renkah decided that 2009 was a great year to start a yearly donation to kids facing cancer in the Ivory Coast. Her first effort reached its culmination on 08/19/09, and it was a great success as Renkah went with her Abidjan Fan Club to help these needy children. She was able to provide food, clothes, toys, medicine and money to kids and their families in order to assure chemotherapy and other treatment for them. The afternoon was full of love and joy as they put smiles on the faces of the sick children. SEE PHOTOS
